This interview was so full of valuable insights. As a retired counselor and now a writer and a coach, I loved this conversation. I am thinking about the work of Jim Wilder, neuro theologian who integrates brain science with faith. He talks about times when our relational circuits turn off, like a light switch. We essentially become unable to relate to God, ourselves, and others effectively. I have learned a lot from him about how to turn on our relational circuits. The work of Karl Lehmann, psychologist, is also really helpful. I love using Immanuel Prayer/Journaling to create a more secure attachment with God, which helps me also open my heart to others and connect in healing ways. Thanks for this excellent conversation which inspired some thought. I am writing on how God transforms us through turbulent times, bringing healing and growth. These concepts are central to my work with others, and my own journey of healing and growth.
